3rd straight night of mahjong last night at Huiming's place. A rare treat considering the fact that 1) She always cancels at the last minute

2) Her brother doesn't like any of her friends and tries his best to have us disappear from her house at every opportunity

But yayy, we got to stay and play, one big gang for the first time in a long time. Syl, huiming, jerald, francis, james, huiling and myself. Oh and then there was Francis (Lee), my buddy from my time in the army.

Coincidentally, this Francis is also studying to be a doctor, just like Keng (the other Francis). The uncanny similarity doesn't just stop at their names and future professions though. Both Francisess are fair, muscular, sport short hair dos and as i discovered last night, are well in touch with their chinese roots. I mean they were spouting chinese phrase after chinese phrase.

As usual, i wanted to matchmake Huiming that sorry old singleton with my attractive eligibe friend. But alas, the battle was lost even before she met him as she was already put off by the similarities he shared with the original francis. Same name, same profession etc...

Last night was another good night after the disastrous start to new year mahjong sessions. A double win for both huiling and me at seperate tables... =)
